Project Overview
This property began as a large semi-detached house rented out as a six-bedroom house-share since 2011. Situated in Bracknell, an area home to several multinational corporations, the house was ideal for professional tenants. The plot included a generously sized garden, which presented long-term development potential. In 2019, planning was submitted for an additional three-bedroom dwelling. Although initially refused, planning was successfully secured through appeal.
The new build was designed to align with our build-to-rent strategy, capitalising on growing demand for private rentals driven by significant regeneration investment in the local area.
Our Transformation Process
The project involved constructing a new three-bedroom house on the plot through a double-storey side and rear extension, along with a further single-storey extension. Despite delays caused by COVID-19 lockdowns and limited material availability, the build commenced in January 2020 and reached completion by the end of July 2020. The entire process — from appeal victory to final construction — was completed within a year.
